With the postponement of the ISCFS meeting in Shanghai to October 2022, the council has decided to organize an interim virtual symposium on October 15-16th, 2021. The meeting will be split into two half days, to accommodate time zones. The meeting on Friday afternoon (CET) allows American, South American, African and European members to join and the Saturday morning (CET) meeting is designed for the Asian, Australian, African and European members. Both sessions will be recorded and remain available for the membership for a limited time after the meetings.
The program will be stimulating with keynote lectures by recognized experts and live panel discussions with participation of the audience. Members and trainees are invited to submit research for the virtual poster sessions that including a pre-recorded 1-minute oral comment. All selected posters will be strongly considered for a 3-minute podium presentation during the ISCFS meeting in 2022. Submitting your poster this year will thus enhance your chances of being accepted next year in Shanghai. There will be a significantly reduced fee for residents and fellows.
We continue to look forward to meeting in person at the ISCFS meeting in Shanghai from October 25th to 28th 2022. However, this interim virtual symposium will allow us to remain in contact as a society and continue to share our ideas and innovations.
Please save the October 15-16th, 2021 date on your calendars and keep an eye out for information on how to register and to submit your poster.
We will post the preliminary program via mail and our website in the upcoming months.
